Back to Basics: Success in Online Business through Action…
Filed under: Online Business
According to the dictionary, “Action†is:  -The doing of something, an act or thing done, habitual conduct, habitual activity characterized by energy and boldness, the effect produced by something, the way of moving, working, the moving parts or mechanism.
In our prior article we spoke of the importance of knowing one’s business and market, and how this information is the basis for our what to do’s and how to do it’s (strategy). Now in this article we will talk about how to perform the “what to do’s†(action).
Since there is so many things we could talk about, and we have limited space we will focus on 2 topics, and try and give you the best picture and ideas possible. But of course, if you need more insight feel free to contact us for further marketing strategy ideas. This article will focus on your website.
Your Website
A good website
To design a good website you must learn how to use HTML (Hyper Text Markup Language) and web page editors, or hire a web designer to do the website for you. Whatever the case might be, the main thing for you is to have a clear idea of what you would like your website to look, and do.
Choosing the right fonts, colors, graphics and page layout is not only a matter of personal taste but actually graphic strategy. Remember: simplicity is elegance; too much of everything might have a negative effect.  So try to have things balanced out! Too many graphics and animations may result in slow websites, and the users do not appreciate those.   The use of graphics is best when related to the content of the website.
And please always remember who you are addressing; a young crowd will not be bothered with small fonts and bright colors, and even loud music. Â But a more mature crowd most probably will reject neon lights and flashing graphics.
The Content
A website isn’t only graphics, banners and games.  A website is content as well.  And a proper management of content will take you a long way! You are selling a product; and you need to talk about it.   But do so in a wise and relevant form.  You want to always let your customers know who you are, what you are about, how you offer your product and how people can contact you.  Once you have the basics covered feel free to elaborate as much as you feel that it can benefit your product.
Once you have covered your text it is time to consider SEO (search engine optimization). Â This is the process of improving the volume and quality of traffic to a web site from search engines search results. Usually, the earlier a site is presented in the search results, or the higher it “ranks,” the more searchers will visit that site. It sounds complicated but put very basically: it is choosing specific words that classify you differently and set you aside from the rest and make you easy to find by new users.
Advertising Online
Advertisement is another important factor in web design, and the subject of our following article.
