Content: the secret weapon for generating more leads

For each and every marketer out there, no matter if we’re talking about a wealthy affiliate or person working in a marketing company, one of the main KPIs is the number of visitors to the site. While it’s extremely important to get visitors to your site, it’s even more important to get qualified prospects, as these can turn into leads and then paying customers. So, the big question is how can you make sure that you get qualified prospects? The answer is simple: it was and it will always be all about content.

However, to get the type of content that you need, you first need to get through the following checklist:

  1. Know your buyer persona

You need to know who you’re targeting, and this long before you start creating any type of content. Know their age, their preferences, their interests. Defining what sets a qualified prospect apart from your average Joe that lands on your site is key in creating a strong buyer persona, which you can then use as a starting point for creating your content.

  1. Develop content for your buyer persona

It’s needless to say that if you have no content on your site, you won’t get any prospects. The good news is that content isn’t that expensive, so you don’t have to be a wealthy affiliate to get some articles written. Of course, there are various types of content you can use, like infographics, eBooks, white papers, case studies and videos, to name just a few.

However, the easiest and simplest first step is to start writing a number of blog posts that answer the most common questions your buyer persona/ qualified prospect asks. You can make each question a 300-500 word blog post. So, when your potential lead will type in his or her question into the search engines, you’ll have more chances of them seeing your content and coming to your site.

 

  1. Create more content

Unfortunately, writing content for your site is something that should be done frequently. Google loves fresh content, and in order to have good SEO, you need to continually create content that’s 100% unique and about the topics of interest in your niche. This is one of the fastest ways to become a wealthy affiliate: having content! Having fresh content means more love from Google which in turn translates into more traffic to your site, and this in turn translates into more qualified prospects that you can then convert into leads.

Keep in mind though that more content shouldn’t only be written for Google. Do it to actually help your prospects find the information they’re searching for again and again. Keep this in mind, and when you write content, don’t only write a sales pitch – actually create something interesting for them, as this will help you build a relationship. This will help you close more deals than other marketers.

  1. Promote your content

Content can be seen as a tree in the woods. There’s tons of other sources that offer similar content, so you need to make yours stand out. Use social media as a means to promote your content. This is the best way to get more leads and become a wealthy affiliate.

Nevertheless, make sure that you know the social media channels preferred by your buyer persona. If they don’t spend time on Twitter it would be a waste to use that social channel.

  1. Reel them in

Once your content is on your site and promoted through social media channels, it’s time to reel the prospects in. Do this by using the social media channels and answering their questions, making them see you a source of authority in your niche. Once you do that, you can be sure that your qualified prospects will turn into leads easily, and, even more, they’ll become returning customers, turning you into a wealthy affiliate.
